| Holocaust denial is not about freedom of speech nor is it about offending others. It is about murder. Proven murder in a court of law with witness by the thousand. Proven by evidence amounting to thousands of written pages and sworn testimony under oath by honest witnesses including German SS guards. When you deny it you deny all the weight of evidence from those witness. It is the same thing as denying that a convicted murder is innocent of a crime everyone knows he committed. But this is not just murder of one person it is the murder of millions whose families and descendants are still around in this world. So when you deny it you risk violence to your own person as well as the possibility of being taken to court and imprisoned like David Irving was. But If you continue to believe that your imagined “freedom of speech” is more important than the systematic murder of millions of human beings your moral values would seem to be a bit upside down. |
