| they may have the know how to make nuclear weapons but they don`t have a stockpile. It`s even arguable as to whether they are capable of launching a missile with a warhead that would function correctly and not land within their own territory! South Korea and Japan have serious US military installations, sonar sites. Not to mention American troops stationed and the South Korean army, which could probably field at least 3-4million armed to the teeth with US techology. The only reason they can`t attack is the uncertainty principle of the missile technolgy component. Basically the question is who do you think is better at developing technology, the country that had nukes in 1945 or the one that just made one in 2006? Half their population is dying from starvation, any attack they attempt would elicit a severe response from South Korea under current leadership, possibly in tandem with Japan(highly unlikely) though definitely with the US. |
