| Instead of c o m p l a i s a n t declaration r e a l immediate a c t i o n imperative It is clear that with development of more and more weaponries Israel?s home front can be protected, partially at best, from possible enemies attacks. Unfortunately we know from the date of State of Israel?s coming into existence and even before, home front / civilian populations involvement was / is a fact. Just not to forget the nearly hundred days of Jerusalem siege with capturing of the Old Cities Jewish quarter and part of its inhabitants.- Deputy Defense Minister?s, Matan Vilnai, Jerusalem born, repeated the fact of ??total war?? with his years of practical experiences plus Sh?droth.- His praising home fronts recent achievements, learning its lessons like of Haifa during the second Lebanese War, not to forget the daily reminders from the ??Gaza Strip?? with includes Sh?droth cannot be accepted as little as Tzachi Hanegbi?s, Chairman of the Knesset Security Committee with ??committee is satisfied that the upcoming drill was planned in a professional and reliable way and that its contribution to saving lives is of supreme importance?? These ??pleasantries?? are in direct contrast to declarations by Israel?s Governments, of an extreme serious shortage of physicians specially for the army as well as for hospitals, acute shortage of hospital beds as well as completely insufficient of protected patience areas in hospitals. More so a more than acute shortage of public shelters and their maintenance and equipment, and the non distribution of gasmask and other protective equipments - Here only a few sample basic needed facilities / elements etc. with years planning, foresight and preparation for a countrywide possible emergency situation. Immediate action to provide for the bare minimum of care, protections for Israel?s citizens of all ages at the home front is the o r d e r o f t h e h o u r ! T h i s to be able to withstand possible emergencies which don?t seem to be irrational and too faraway! |
