Having a strong deterrence power should not be nterpreted as a good thing. In case of a "big" war Israel will loose in many ways. There is a large number of enemies in the region. Despite the strong deterrence power, Israel will loose in military operations due to different attacks from different enemies. We`ve seen how Israeli deterrence power failed in face of Hizbollah and Hamas simply because they cant stop attacks but rather destroy homes and kill people. What can this detterence power do against Palestinians in the westbank and gaza and also arabs living inside Israel? Nothing or at least it can be fully used! Also Israeli population is too small compared to their arab neighbors. This means that people who will leave the country as well as those who will die in the battles are enough to loose the demographics. The Israeli policy has been a failure because its about power and threatening others in the region. This has ended up with lots of enemies!
