Obama has the right idea reaching out to Iran diplomatically and becoming more outspoken on what was supposedly American policy anyway with Israel. With Iran he should send someone over there besides Ross or Clinton whose outspoken words in the past create doubt with Iran that the U.S. is serious. Also, figure the worst which is Iran gets the bomb and the world gets real tight on sanctions. Politicians seem anxious to acknowledge this--like the doctor who wants to give you the worse case scenario in case it happens and take whatever credit if it doesn`t. It the fear of the I told you so crowd who has no safe alternatives to offer and are just playing safe politics. Obama needs to risk more and come out ahead. War is not and should not be an option. The Jeanie is probably coming out anyway. I just don`t want the American side involved in any ridiculous --we can bomb them and win easily scheme-- or too loose our chances of a solid attempt at the best negotiating team that might work.
