| No matter who gets elected, the same old clique of corrupt, unelected, unaccountable CLERICS will retain real power. They can veto or re-write all decisions made by the Majlis, the bureaucracy and the courts. But they can`t be voted out of power. The only way to clean out this scum is by means of the sword of revolution. Meantime Iran has a parliament and elections, but no democracy; laws and courts but no rule of law. The triumph of form over substance, appearance over reality. |
