| If you know in forhand that unwillingness to share will lead to you not getting it or the object of your desire being destroyed, you just lie and say you are willing and ready to share. There are always less open ways to keep on fighting and new chances will arise one day again after the division. The difference between the two mothers and the baby and jerusalem of course is that there was a rightfull exclusive "owner" of the baby and not in the case of Jerusalem. And living together can not be ordered but must come from within. Therefore advice to Solomon for alternative solution: after mutual stated willingness to share, all Arabs and Jews who live now in the city must leave and live like good neighbours in tents in the desert for 40 years and may then return only if all went well. |
