Many people have been converted worldwide in the reform or conservative movements who believe they are universally accepted as being jewish.
Unfortunately, many are faced with the reality that their conversions are not accepted espcially when the rituls of jewish life come into play-for themselves or their decendants in the areas of brit-milah, Bar-mitzvah, marriage, burial etc .
Many have opted to "re-convert" due to these considertions and adhere to a halachic standard which has been set and universally accepted. I have not heard of a convert in this circumstance who would not be considered Jewish by a conservative or reform board of Rabbis.

The reform and conservative movements have an obligation to inform potential converts of this reality in order to make an enlightened decision in the matter.
