| The United States is not calling for the halting of Irans civilian nuclear programme to produce electricity for it`s people, as under the NPT which Iran is a signatory Iran is perfectley entitled to do this. The International Community have agreed to Iran`s civil nuclear programme. The contention to Iran`s nuclear programme is the enrichment of Uranium. An offer has been made for Iran to enrich their Uranium in Russia so we can ensure they do not go above the 4% threshold needed for nuclear power, and that any spent fuel rods are recycled by Russia so that any Plutonium created is removed and made safe. Netanyahu who couldn`t look Obama in the eye at the press conference is trying to create success where there is none. He got his arse whooped. In August Natanz goes online, we are not going to discuss further sanctions until next year. Iran contrary to Netanyahu`s election pledge is a nuclear power, get used to it. |
