You are what you think you are. If you believe that you are Jewish, then you are Jewish with or without Rabbinical sanctions. The Rabbis have turned `the Chosen` myth into a nightmare. They actually are the main cause why Judaism did not expand even though a lot of Romans were attracted to it. We are not the Chosen people. Most European Jews are of Slavic origin. If DNA tests can indicate Jewishness, then you will find more `Jews` in the Near East than in Europe. Conversion to Islam was easy and it saved the convert from having to pay the onerous Jezia. Judaism should study how Islam succeeded where the others failed.
