Natanyahu paid repeated lip service to "losing no time" in Palestinian track. He was so repetitive, that I`m left with the certainty that he doesn`t intend to rush, but will erect excuses soon. The recognition of Israel as a Jewish state, justified as it is, seems to pave the way for such a roadblock.
Obama twisted himself to explain why he streches his arm to Tehran. In the end it`s PR.
He doesn`t want anybody to say he didn`t try talks before he (or his ally Israel) resorted to force.
Agreement is good, but not complete; sufficient but not heart-warming, despite their warm words.
Obama is clever but naive, Netanyahu is not that clever, but has no naiveté. Once Obama loses patience with Iran, they will see eye to eye, except on settlements, which will be the biggest issue on collision course between them. |
