Netanyahu will eventually support a Palestinian state. Earlier on TV, he spoke indicating he would support such a state in exchange for recognition of Israel as a Jewish nation. (Plus both his Foreign and Defense Minister support the two-state solution.)
I agree that the two-state solution offers the best chance for peace, but that is not saying much. How many times has the Fatah PA been offered a state of their own, only to walk away from the peace table? I ask in all honesty. I’ve lost count!
It is the PA that needs to be pressured to make peace. Unfortunately, their leaders are afraid to make that commitment. |
