| As a Jewish Turk, I think that the hatred for Turks by other Jews expressed here is disgusting and unfounded. Apart from the current admin`s reluctance over the Palestinian issue, I hope many of you realise that for hundreds of years the Ottoman Empire was the only safe haven for Jews, my family found a home here, yet when Jews from the "motherland" and beyond class Turks as enemies it is plain ungrateful. I hope the weapons deal doesn`t get through, more death is never a good thing, yet you may have your Hamas we have our PKK, do you know how many people have died because of terrorism since the 80`s? thousands and I remember a time when it was reported that Israel had trained a few Kurdish terrorists, what would the response have been if Turkey had done the same? Turkey is a diverse countriy, the sooner factions stop promoting separation and independence and our government according more rights to the Kurds, the better. |
