| This question is too important to be decided by the orthodox religious Jews and their ultra-orthodox bretehren. I`m a national Jew. Now I`m beginning to comprehend how Jesus must have thought about the this same issue. I think he or his disciples concluded it was not even necessary to be circumcised, nor to follow any of the laws of their forefathers. That total abnegation is what mede them non-Jews. i.e. the established Christianity. So, heres is the definition and test to decide who can become a Jew (if one claims to be and it is deemed one isn`t then he/she can still become one): a. learn the laws of Moses and obey b. Learn the history of the Jews-and all the tragedies c. Be circumcised if male d. Raise your children as loyal jewish citizens of Israel e. Aide and cherish your Jewish neighbors |
