| There is nothing subtle about what Obama has said. Its a straightforward acnowledgement that no one but Israel can make the judgement about its security needs and that it is not unreasonable for her to think that Iran is a mortal danger to her. What this is, is a signal to Terhan that the U.S. will attempt to deal with this diplomatically but that if push comes to shove, Terhan may find itself under fire - without objection from the U.S. and simply b/c the U.S. things that the peril is real. |
