| Pollard has a strange way of courting influence. He keeps an "enemies list" on his web site. This list is composed of a large number of influential people who Pollard thinks have not worked hard enough for his release. The people on the list are mostly Jews from Israel and America. Rabbis, politicians, media people, etc. Pollard has claimed as "enemies" many people who have done nothing to him and who are still in a position to help him. Pollard is a compulsive bridge burner. In addition, Pollard has courted the extremist Israelis, who in turn, use Pollard as a symbol for their own purposes. Bibi will ask for Pollards release quite publicly. Before he does this he will beg quite privately, that Obama never let Pollard out of prison. It was this way at the Wye River Conference when Bibi asked Clinton to release Pollard, but privately Bibi asked that Marc Rich, a long time Mossad agent, be released instead. Clinton released Rich, which was far more controversial. |
