| You are right Lisa, Arabs do live in Israel. On the other hand, the situation is hardly symmetric here, and we cannot just pretend it is. When the arabs live in Haifa, they live under the Israeli rule, i.e. Haifa does not cease to be part of Israel because of it. Israeli settlements in the West Bank are effectively part of Israel too - i.e. they are under Israeli rule and are off limits to Palestinians. It is not so surprising that they view this situation as a land theft. |
