IW: "This is a principle which was established in one of the earliest US Supreme Court decisions, which is that the executive can issue orders and then decide not to carry them out."
The Israeli "executive" didn`t issue those orders because it felt like it.
Those orders were issued because the court had already ruled that those outposts were illegal.
The "executive" was therefore under an obligation to remove those outposts, hence the "executive orders".
The court is now demanding to know why the "executive" still has not carried out its legal obligation to remove those outposts.
In short: you are nitpicking, because as far as the COURT is concerned what they want to know is this: Why are those illegal outposts still standing? and not this: You`ve changed your mind, have you? |
