| Did the pope give you everything you wanted? Did he lay on the Jewish suffering enough for you? Gentile guilt? The evils of antisemitism? And I sure hope his referring to that wall as "tragic" didn`t upset those world-famous Jewish sensibilities -- you know the ones. The ones that drop thousands of cluster bombs on Lebanon knowing a ceasefire is imminent; the ones that drop white phosphorous shells on thousands of trapped Palestinian men, women, and children. The ones that gun down surrendering families, fire on buildings they told families to take refuge in, fire on Christian hospitals -- and, oh, I bet the people didn`t mention that either. |
