and on the subject of expulsion, as Benny Morris in his recent excellent history of the 48 war points out, the sometimes expulsions of Arabs may have been a zionist necessity but to the Arab villagers so engaged it was their tragedy. History may be morally messy - but history honestly told is still history. |
