| I was shocked to see myself disagreeing so strongly with Levy`s article. The reason that we must stand up against the Haredim is because they bring disgrace to Israel, turning us into a Jewish version of our Islamic fanatic neighbors. There is not a single European country that has a community of religious fanatics like the Haredim. That is deeply embarrassing to me, who is originally from Israel. The Haredim represent the darkness of the Middle East, the secular represent the modernity and cosmopolitanism of Europe. I hope that Israel is not taken over by the Jewish fundamentalists. We must stop the Haredim! |
