| Has Obama forgotten that Israel is a sovereign state that has a right to defend itself? Obama trades upon the world`s easy disdain and hatred to demean dialogue in such a way. He seems to have little compunction about broadcasting a process of gradual disengagement (assuming the leak was intended) and reevaluation of the bond between U.S. and Israel. Granted he wants to distance himself from blowback, in order to do what he needs to do ---but distancing will not work with the Arab nations anyway (ironically, many of whom would see Israel as the more consequential power, than America, if she were to lambaste Iran.) Strange move on Obama`s part. |
