| All, Anyone who works in the US is treated to African American Heritage Month, Asian-Pacific Heritage Month, Hispanic American Heritage Month, etc. The Jews never asked for one because they didn`t want to irritate Anti-Semites as the obligatory `prominent Jewish-American stories` are sent around by e-mail and the obligatory Jewish-American history PBS special is shown over and over. US Jews, after their European experience, have chosen to stay under the radar. Obama recognizes that the I/P peace plan could shatter the Democratic coalition (always shaky) in Congress. After all, Lieberman and Spector hold the `filibuster proof Senate` balance of power. Obama has always felt that his Health Care and Energy Plans are key to his legacy. Consequently, the Arab refusal to adjust the Saudi Plan and the refusal to offer normailization gestures to Israel have pulled the carrots out of Obama`s hand with Netanyahu. As always, the Arabs have overplayed their hand. |
