"The Internal Security Forces have long been accused of representing the interests of Lebanese parliamentary majority leader Saad Hariri, son of slain prime minister Rafik Hariri, and his supporters." - Yoav Stern
And anyone who has been paying attention to what Saad Harriri has been saying the last few years fully understands that he - and his allies - are fully behind the movement to forge a common defense strategy to protect Lebanon from being used as Israel`s punching bag.
"This organization is seen as a more reliable one than the army, which still appears to be close to Syria and Hezbollah," - Yoav Stern
Yoav and Israel are living in the past, not the reality that the Second Lebanon War created.
The "strategy" was to kick the crap out of Lebanon to force it to unite against Hisbollah.
What was accomplished was to force Lebanon to unite.
And that includes Hisbollah.
Oops, moronic `strategy.` |
