obviously, diplomacy is often used to snub or humiliate any country when the other is dissatisfied. the new us administration has decided that snubbing israel is a useful tool in its effort to court the muslim world.
what is missing from the us policy is the realisation that neither hamas, nor hezbollah, nor iran, nor any other islamic terror group will be satisfied with anything but the destruction or disestablishment of the state of israel.
while the us is sending more troops to afghanistan to fight islamic terrorists, it expects israel allow the creation of a terror state right on her borders. israel is much better off with diplomatic snubs than with existential threats on her borders. |
