I appreciate Amira`s views. But I say to her that the peace that she imagines will fade away. A truncated Israel, living in unthinkable 67` borders, will find that it still isn`t wanted in the Muslim M. East. Hamas and Hezbollah won`t give up, Iran won`t, and the fradulent Arab League peace between Israel and all Arab counties will peel away (George Will wrote of this in 2002). Israel`s own Arab citizens will continue to fight against the racist state! I like the idea of peace. I long for it for Israel. But I don`t believe it. It`s the Middle East where a peace deal might just mean you`ve been had, A.Cohen |
