This article brings to light one of the many facets behind the on-going conflict that may still be obscure to many. One of the reasons why there isn`t a real attempt by Israel to bring peace, is because peace would cripple a system, a style of living, that has been created and depends on conflict. I guess that we could say that the underlying conditions on the one hand is a profiteererīs paradise: make millions out of perpetual low-scale war-fare. Another issue that is rarely tackled openly, but that revertebrates in the background, is that Israel is reluctant on adopting a "one-state solution", because that would mean Israel would have to absorb the Palestinian groups, giving them equal rights, whilst straining the stateīs capability to sustain the population, severly crippling the quality of life that some currently enjoyed. Something akin to what happened to post-apartheid South Africa, where high-crime rates became at the order of the day.
