| I hope Obama takes the hint and drops any plan to arrange a Two State Solution. While the majority of Israelis and Palestinians might want a Two State Solution, those Israelis and Palestinians who MATTER don`t. And those who matter are the ones who would have to agree. The US should move on and do what it must to advance it`s own well being. Israel should move on and do what it wants to. The US should not be expected, nor should it, remain wedded to accepting Israeli dictation. Time to get a bit of distance between our nations. Build some fences to let us live together without harming each other, while allowing the world to understand we are not one and the same. Hamas and Likud both seem dedicated to an All Or Nothing solution. This will certainly get the Palestinians nothing, and will probable cost Israel more than it wants to pay. The US should not be forced by either Hamas or Israel to be harmed for the sake of either. Nor can we afford to continue to be Israel`s hostage. |
