As a child of h.survivors I must say that my father can use financial help, but has given up approaching the claims conference since there is invariably a clause,condition, or process that prevents him from receiving assistance (even though he is certified holocaust survivor). Many survivors need real help such as: paying for medication and treatment, funeral expenses, home carers, travel to visit children and family, etc. (and not expansive educational programmes, museums, and offices!).
