In America we have become accustom to the idea of mutual deterrence being a workable formula for maintaining peace because it worked well during the Cold War with the USSR. While I would think a better way we would be for all sides to mutually disarm and so would like to see both Israel and Iran denounce all nuclear weapons (in Israel`s case that would mean destroying its stockpile and in Iran`s case, not building a stockpile), if that is not possible, then perhaps it would be safer for Iran to become a nuclear power as well as Israel. That would establish the mutual deterrence
that did work once before in recent history.
