Peres: "A political movement knows it needs to make compromises. A political movement has a deadline and a religious movement has eternity. A political movement knows that it can`t both fire and conduct negotiations, but a religious movement does not follow this logic."
And yet Meshal`s article shows: Compromise: Hamas will accept a Pal state inside the 1967 territory. Deadline: Hamas is offering a deal with a quite specific timescale. Holding fire: That offer is for a ceasefire i.e. Hamas are agreeing that negotiation and gunfire are incompatible.
Or, in short.... Peres: I told Clinton that Night is Day, Black is White, and Up is Down, and I`m pretty sure I convinced her. |
