Anyone old enough to remember "da, da, dah-dah", and what it meant when the teacher walked into room also remembers Sgt. Friday`s mantra, "The facts, ma`am, just the facts". Ms Gardner has a problem--she tells half the truth. The other half is politically incorrect.
It`s good to know, though, she admits that Wikopedia is a news service, not an source of valid information. The next thing to come will be the bio of somebody who never exists, or an event that never happened.
After all, this is not like the Brittanica, the OED, or some of the othe information sources. It is capable of lying with the best of them as long as it keeps the customers happy. |
