Let`s go through just a few points of contention:
1) Hamas is a "terrorist oragnization" in the minds of some and an organization of military resistance to occupation in the minds of many more. So, what`s the problem? Why should Wiki call them "terrorists" in the opening paragraph? It only needs to acknowledge that certain Western governments, at Israel`s urging have classified Hamas as "terrorist".
2) Ahmadinejad has never denied that the holocaust happened. He has only questioned the dominant narrative of how it occured. No one has ever provided proof that he has denied the holocaust but everyone (including Haaretz) loves to repeat the mantra.
3) I`m not sure what exactly David Irving has written but if he`s denied the holocaust then he is an idiot. But this has nothing to do with the question of whether he desrves the title "historian". If he does history, then he`s an historian, even if he does it poorly. I know plenty of historians with PhDs who do. |
