| ...because it`s a localized resistance group that only has a localized reason for existence. In this case because Israel is illegally besieging the Gaza portion of Palestine, and of course over all Hamas is the only remaining resistance organization that is actually resisting Israel`s further encroachment on Palestinian land and resources. Much like Lebanon`s Hezbollah. Abbas`s Fatah long ago forfeited that. As far as I know, Abbas has not even been president since January 9 2009. Sure he`s the West`s and Israel`s fair-haired boy but he`s not to the `Street. There he is milquetoast turncoat working for Israel and the US. Sharon`s unilateral withdrawal proved one thing to one side and a much different view emerged on the side of the reality based crowd. The state of Palestine must be considered as a whole and not piece-mealed as Israel has tried to do. Peace. Not Piece. |
