What a mouthful! In short binational. It seems much easier to deal with this in a way, than struggling to divide and to find the right formula. But this too depends on the good will of the other party and it will always be on its terms. Nothing will work in the Middle East unless the Arabs open up as well. W/ radical Islam do you see this happening? A true acceptance of the other, whether women, or political dissident, or even G-d forbid, "non-believer" or non-practising believer, whatever
form, the exercise of the individual`s rights,
takes. I don`t see Palestinians as being flexible on the issue. Not the Arabs in Egypt either. They want their own state on their own terms period. And if Israel could disappear, so much the better. Still, it is a nice dream. And not necessarily a burden. |
