This is the kind of irresponsible journalism that should certainly not grace the pages of a respectable paper like Ha`Aretz. I am not one for censorship of almost any kind, but this simply isn`t "news", nor moreover "opinion; this is "historical fiction", and worse yet an attempt at fortune telling.
This sensationalist, "worst-worst-worst case scenario" (only made worse if Shavit had Iran firing the nuclear weapons they acquire in his story) is exactly the kind of rhetoric that propelled America to elect their last President for a second term, though then it was about Iraq and how leaving would spark the beginning of the Islamification of the world.
Put a sock in it Shavit, unless you have some real news to report. |
