| In a world that is seeing growing Islamic extremism, it is clear that this is not something that America, even with help from the EU cannot end through war. Bridges must be built to the states in the mideast. Americas relationship with Israel and Israels actions against the Palestinians only help inspire Islamic extremism. A better relationship with Iran and Syria will be much, much more helpful in meeting the challenges of the future than continuing Americas uncritical relationship with Israel. America should maintain the best possible releationship with Israel based upon Israel coming into compliance with Americas position on peace. This means action and not just talk. Meanwhile, building bridges with Iran and Syria might put Israel in the mood for peace action. |
