| CJK: "obama is playing a dangerous game by supporting hamas." Who says he is supporting Hamas, Cipora? He is signally that if Hamas become a part of a PA unity govt then the USA will still consider funding that govt. After all, the USA cleary does not support Likud policies (home demolition, settlement construction, "economic peace", "Jerusalem is mine! All mine!", to name the most obvious) and yet the USA continues to pour aid money into Israel even now. It is perfectly possible for Obama to say that he won`t touch Hamas officials with a ten-foot pole, but that the presence of those Hamas officials within a PA govt is no reason to cut funds to that govt. After all, Hezbollah are part of the Lebanese govt, and yet Obama still sends Siniora truckloads of cash.... |
