Mr Lieberman could well do without support from the likes of Israeli Observer. The advocacy of forced mass population transfer of the native Palestinian Arabs, out of the West Bank, may well let the cat out of Lieberman`s bag. If this is a fair reflection of his policy it is pure fascism. While Israelis are entitled to vote for whoever they choose, in this case they have picked a wrong `un.
Hopefully, Israeli Observer is one of a very small minority who think it is ok to force 1.2 to 1.5 million out of their homes and into Jordan. However, only a couple of days ago someone else pointed out that the displaced people would only have to travel 30km or miles. How do Israelis propose to get them to move, and next, how to move them, in the absence of a railway line and cattle cars. This type of activity may have worked in the aftermath of a world war but in the early years of the 21st. century it would not pass without condemnation from the world community. |
