Liberman is a product of Soviet Russia. He sees the world black and white. His statements are most of the time ludicrous and undiplomatic, like calling the President of Egypt names and claiming blatantly that the US will support Israel in whatever they do. His statements on Iran are confused and conflicting, his approaches to Russia irresponsible in light of Israel`s dependence on the USA and Europe. Netanyahu chose him as Foreign Minister only because of coalition considerations and is embarrassed by him too. Only a fool can see this bouncer as Foreign Minister.
His confrontational attitude is unfortunately supported by many voters, who cannot understand that confrontation will not bring any betterment only further embarrassement and defeats. Israel`s only choice to survive is accepting the Saudi plan with some revisions. Neither of the present Israeli leaders can accomplish it because they fell hostage to the settlers. |
