Jewish emotions are understandable. However Israel should still consider facts. There is no intention of another Holocaust. Ahmadinejad never spoke about physical destruction of Israel. His intentionally mistranslated speeches called for the end of this very Israel state in which Israeli Arabs are discriminated and by which Palestinians are occupied.
His call for "regime change" does not deviate from what the US wanted with Iraq and many other nations.
Use of the Holocaust as an argument is therefore not correct, no matter how understandable Jewish feelings may be.
The claim that the creation of Israel prevented another Holocaust is just propaganda. Returning Jews were well received in Europa and they received rightfully compensations, although that did not undo the massacres. |
