| It`s onew thing to undergo a nominal conversion to save your life and another to study for the priesthood and be ordained. A priest must have some belief in what he teaches. Clearly they believe they can be both Jews and Catholics, a view Judaism does not share. They remain halachically Jewish like the late Cardinal of Paris or the late Bishop of Birmingham, but their family would not need to say Kaddish or sit shiva. |
