No holocaust, no Israel in todays shape. The state of the jews could also had been in Eastern Europe. Galicia in the Austrian Empire
was one of the places an (european ) jewish state could arise. But !!! the professor touched the important part of the matter. I see
in my own familiy. Many converted - mostly for
career reason to christanity or are agnotics.
The jewish upperclass in europe were more and
more a mixture. The cynical outcome - it did not help, many catholic jews were also killed
because of the race theory. You see the same phenomenia today in the US. An extrapolation is
in fact not possible. It is the old game of
"What could happen, when ?"
