The NY/NJ market is arguably the most lucrative for TV advertising; Jews make up a larger portion of that market than anywhere else in the US; and the Jewish population in that market has a higher than average household income. The NFL and networks want to maximize TV & Radio advertising revenue from those games, so moving the game start time makes business sense.

Personally, I don`t find sports that important, but if I had a financial interest in advertising revenue from the game, I would also be in favor of changing the schedule.\

Mr. "American Patriot" wants to keep religion out of sport. This move does just that, literally. Does he object to team prayers? I doubt it.
