| BD: "Israel`s purchasing the F-35`s, would help keeping our military suppliers strong despite Obama`s defense budget cuts." Bonnie, every dollar the US gives Israel is one less dollar in the US defense budget. BD: "Rather than borrowing from the Chinese for stimulus money," And where do you think Obama gets the money that he gives to Israel as aid? BD: "Obama would actually have another country giving billions to help employ Americans" That ignores that Israel doesn`t *actually* spend any money i.e. Israel takes delivery of the goods and then hands the invoice to Obama for him to pay. From the USA`s PoV it would be better to cut out the middleman, because then the goods end up with the US military, not the Israelis. But as it stands now Israel doesn`t ACTUALLY inject any new money into the US economy i.e. it just launders US tax dollars and then takes a 100% cut of the proceeds as its end of the "bargain". Does that really sound right to you?? |
