Israel is not a poor country and can certainly afford to buy its own weapons without asking the US taxpayer to foot the bill. With massive cuts in our own military budget on the horizon, President Obama has no business giving away money to wealthy countries like Israel when that money could be spent on upgrading and modernizing equipment for the US military and/or given back as tax relief to struggling Americans.
And don`t take this the wrong way, I think all US foreign aid should be cut permanently except for humanitarian aid. |
