My late Grandmother MHSRIP who lived her childhoon in Musrara on the border of Meshearim, and her adulthood in West Jerusalem near Jaffa Street, used to tell us that a Jew dies and his Jewish religion "Judaism" stays with him. Her Uncles wife and her sister in law were originally Jews that converted to Roman Orthodox Christianity to get married . All of these women and their fanmilies were made refugees in 1948 upon the creation of Israel and all are dead now, When the Jewish ladies had to attend a marriage ceremony or a funeral or a baptism at a church, they always felt out of place, and never felt as Christians. Both Jewish ladies died and had a Christian priest perform their funeral retuals and both were burried at a Christian cemetery. The first in Tripoli Lybia, and the second in Amman Jordan. It is sad that they had to supress their real religious sentiments. I wonder if this descrption appies on these Jewish Catholic Priests.
