The article should have pointed out the pivotal force behind this movement. It has its origin in the work of a converted South African Jew, Jack Friedman, who became a Carmelite monk at Stella Maaris in Haifa, alongside Brother Danile. His book "Jewish Identity" argues for a kind of Hebrew rite within the Catholic Church and calls on Catholics of Jewish origin not to break with their Jewish cultural identity. In Jerusalem this community used to gather at Isaiah House on Rehov Agron and recently they were led by a French converted Jew who served as bishop and was resident, I believe in Abu Ghosh.
