Howdy Natallie; I doubt if the Mossad operates on the ground in Egypt; that would be too risky because if they were caught, then it would seriously damage the Israeli-Egyptian Peace Treaty which has worked quite well for the past 30 years. Egypt is very touchy about her sovereignty and doesn`t like anybody violating it. The information probably came from electronic intercepts and Mossad agents in Lebanon and possibly in other Arab countries such as the Sudan, Yemen, and Libya. Plus, some of the information came from or was corroborated by Western intelligence agencies.
