The Obama administration is said to be seeking common ground with Iran in order to establish a rapport/dialogue. The only common interest is the defeat of Al-Qaida in Afghanistan.
Is this a mistake ? Maybe...It seems the US/EU is wanting to play one evil against the other, terror against corruption, Sunni against Shiíte, Al-Qaida against the Russians, Iran against Iraq, blah, blah, blah... Also concerned with Al-Qaida`s demise is Pakistan. Should Pakistan be brought into the fold of Arab nations seeking relief from Islamist terror ???
Regimes may well be corrupt, but the alternative is a Caliphate. |
